Hello World!

"This is what it sounds like when Doug cries." *punch* - Prince, the schoolyard bully years

Chris Krok - Dalla's newest hatemonging, racist, homophobic. jackass, Glenn Beck-wannabe neocon AM talf radio 'host' who sounds like a genetic experiment gone bad. The product of an unholy mating between a wild female hyena and a drunken frat boy he fills the afternoon 4-7 drivetime slot with moronic cackles, schoolgirl screams (like he's pissing his pants) and KKK style shouting into his megaphone. He's been fired from every station he's worked at and now Dallas is cursed with his broadcast hatred. He attacks mothers of dead kids, widows , police chiefs, old women, gay churches, ANYONE with an Hispanic accent and of course black people.

Something's still wrong with the FCC that they allow this ass to remain on the air. There's just so MUCH wrong with this jackass, you just don't know where to start. And did I mention that his station, KLIF is number 26 in the Dallas market. The morons in Cumulus management are betting that Krok will get them a ratings boost. OK...pass the crack pipe when you're done.

“Edward M. Kennedy—the husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle we loved so deeply—died late Tuesday night at home in Hyannis Port. We’ve lost the irreplaceable center of our family and joyous light in our lives, but the inspiration of his faith, optimism, and perseverance will live on in our hearts forever. We thank everyone who gave him care and support over this last year, and everyone who stood with him for so many years in his tireless march for progress toward justice, fairness and opportunity for all. He loved this country and devoted his life to serving it. He always believed that our best days were still ahead, but it’s hard to imagine any of them without him.”

My fellow citizens:

I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.

Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding documents.

So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.

Here's a few shots of an orchid I picked up on clearance at Lowes a few weeks ago. It's been quite happy living in my bedroom under a grow light.

The Mustangs of Las Colinas is the largest equestrian sculpture in the world. Located at Williams Square in Irving it is a breathtakingly realistic depiction in bronze of nine wild mustangs running across a granite stream. This video describes the creation of this magnificent work of art by internationally acclaimed African wildlife sculptor Robert Blen.
